History

Carlos is the epitome of the American dream. Born in Mexico City, he immigrated to the United States with his mother and sister in the late 1980s. Carlos quickly learned the importance of advocacy skills as he faced challenges as a disenfranchised English Second Language learner in public school. The invaluable guidance he received from his mentors throughout his education ignited a desire to position himself to one day do the same for others.

Given Carlos’ non-traditional childhood, his path to his legal career was also what some would consider, “non-traditional.” Before earning his Bachelor’s of Art in Sociology with a specialization in Organizational Studies, from The University of California Davis, Carlos dabbled in several industries which ultimately exposed him to a variety of skills that have proven crucial in his practice of law.

For nearly ten years, Carlos worked in the hospitality industry throughout San Francisco’s premier and exclusive restaurants. He later applied the techniques and teachings he acquired as a student at The Academy Of Art College in San Francisco to operate a successful Wedding Photography Business.  

Carlos also worked as a Licensed General Securities Representative (Series 7), a Licensed Investment Company Product Variable Contracts Representative (Series 6), Licensed Securities Advisor and Agent (Series 66), and a Financial Investment Consultant with Wells Fargo.

Carlos acquired his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Law San Francisco (formerly, U.C. Hastings). After passing the California Bar exam, Carlos developed his legal skills in boutique law firms throughout San Francisco and the East Bay Area.

In 2015 Carlos combined his attention to detail, customer service skills, creativity, and analytical approach to establish a solo legal practice and deliver unique and effective legal representation.

Between the adversity Carlos has overcome, and the opportunities he has used to his advantage, Carlos is well-equipped to fiercely advocate for those in need. Whether advocating in the court room or counseling in his office, Carlos is committed to achieving the best results for his clients.
